About Lake Manyara National Park
Tucked beneath the dramatic wall of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park packs groundwater forest, acacia woodland, and an alkaline lake into a relatively small area. The lake attracts thousands of flamingos and pelicans, while the woodland is one of the few places in Africa where lions are regularly seen resting in tree branches. Its compact size and good road network make it an easy add-on to a longer northern-circuit safari.
