About Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti is Tanzania's oldest and most celebrated national park, a vast expanse of savannah stretching to the horizon. Each year more than two million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle move through it in a continuous search for grazing, trailed by lion, cheetah, and hyena. Beyond the migration, the park's open plains make it one of the most reliable places in Africa to see the Big Five, and its network of kopjes and river systems supports wildlife year-round, not just during the migration months.
